Pabda Fish Curry | Pabda Macher Sorshe Jhal | Indian Butter Fish Recipe

Today’s recipe is Delicious Pabda Fish Curry. This recipe is easy to make eat. Please do try at home and share with your kids, friends and family members . This recipe is very special in All over India & Specially Punjab, Haryana, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal. You can try this recipe with Sweet Pulao or Steamed Rice .Please follow this method your Pabda Fish Curry will be made perfect. In this recipe I am gonna show you How to make Pabda Fish Curry .You can try this with Plain rice Also.

Preparations Time :- 30 Minutes

Making Time :- 25 Minutes

Serving :- 4

Ingredients:

  • Pabda Fish / Indian Butter Fish :- 1 k.g (Cleaned) 

Spices : 

  • Turmeric Powder :- 1 tsp 
  • Salt :- According to taste 
  • Red Chili Powder :- 1 tsp 
  • Refind Oil - 80 ml. (For Fish Fry) 1 tbsp 

Masala Paste 

  • Poppy Seeds :- 2 tbsp 
  • Mustard Seeds :- 1 tbsp 
  • Green Chilies :- 4 
  • Water for gravy :- 1 1/2 glass 

Dry Spices :- 

  • Kalonji/ Onion Seeds/ Nangrel (Kalojeere) :- 1/2 tsp

Cooking Method

1. Take Cleaned 1 k.g of Pabda Fish .

2. Marinate it with Red Chili powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt for 15 Minutes. Mix it Properly.

3. Now Take a grinder and Pour Mustered Seeds, Poppy Seeds, Green Chilies and 11/2 tbsp water. Paste it Finely. 

4. Then place a frying pan or kadai. Heat it on high Flame. After that Pour Sufficient Cooking oil or Mustered oil. 
5. Heat the oil and Drop one by one Marinated fish in the oil. wait for 2 Minutes . After 2 minutes flip it and fry it gently. 
6. Now keep all the fried fishes aside. 
7. Now in the same pan or kadai Add little more oil and heat it. Add Kalonji ,Saute it. Then Add Masala paste and fry it. If you want add 2 sliced green chilies as taste. Now Add Salt , Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder . Mix it.

8. Add 1 glass of lukewarm water for gravy. Cover it for 5-8 Minutes. Check it twice. Open the lid After some times and Add fried fishes . Now boil it 3-5 Minutes. 
9. Spread 1 Tbsp Mustered oil over the gravy and Turn off the flame.
10. Serve this fish curry with steamed rice as lunch . Enjoy the meal with special one.

  • Preperation Time: - 15 Minutes
  • Making Time :- 10 Minutes
  • Serving: - 3

Ingredients :-

  • Cannabis Leaves (Bhang Patta) : 100 gm (Take According to your Capacity)
  • Milk : 1 l
  • Sugar : 4 tbsp (According to Taste)
  • Cashew Nuts : 25 g
  • Almonds : 25 g
  • Dry Rose petals(For Garnishing): 10 NOS (optional) You can use Rose water instead it.
  • Black Pepper (Kali Mirch) : 10-12 pods
  • Melon Seeds (Magaz Dana) :- 3 tbsp
  • Poppy Seeds (Khaas Khaas) : 2 tbsp
  • Fennel Seeds (Saunf) :- 3 tbsp
  • Ice Cubes : (For Chilling)

Method

1. At fast Take Cannabis Leaves (Bhang Patta) and let it Dry .
2. Now take one mixing bowl and Add All the ingredients like Cashew, Almonds, poppy Seeds, Dry rose petals, Fennel Seeds, Black pepper & Pour 1 glass of water. Now rest it 4-5 hours.

3. After 5 hours take a Grinder jar and Pour All the things in it. Grind it Smoothly. 4. In Next process turn on the flame and Seat a Sauce pan and Pour 1l. Milk in it. After boiling the milk Add Sugar. now let it dissolve. 5. After that Add that liquid and boil it for 8 minutes on low medium. 6. Turn off the gas stove and our Holi refreshment is ready to drink. Keep it in Freeze for Sometimes.
7. After 2-3 hours Serve Bhaang in earthen glass and Sprinkle Some Chopped Cashew and Almonds or Dry rose petals over it and Add ice cubes . Celebrate Holi and enjoy Bhang with your Friends.

Ingredients:


  • Carrot (Fresh) : 2 Medium Size (washed, Peeled, Chopped)

  • Honey : 1/2 Tbsp (You may Add Sugar)

  • Black Salt : 1/2 tsp

  • Water : 1 Cup (You may Add Milk )

  • Mint leaves : 1 Swig for Garnishing

  • Ice Cubes : (For Chilling)


Method :-




1. Take 2 Medium Size of Cleaned and Peeled Carrots.

2. Now Pour chopped or grated carrots into a blender and add honey, Black salt and add 1 cup of water.

3. Blend it smoothly.

4.Serve It into a glass . Add one Mint twig over it. Enjoy the health drink with ice cubes.

N.B :- You may add sugar instead of honey, Milk instead of water . and add cardamom powder as required. ( I made healthy juice that is why did not add those ingredients)

Ingredients:


  • Prawn :- 300 g (Washed, Cleaned) 
  • Coconut Milk :-  2 Tbsp (Mixed with Normal water)
  • Garlic – Ginger Paste: - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato: -  1 Medium ( Size Sliced )
  • Potato: - 1 Big Size (Diced )
  • Green Chili: - 3 (Sliced)

Dry Spices:-


  • Whole Cumin Seeds: - ½ tsp
  • Bay Leaf :- 1
  • Cardamom :- 2 
  • Salt: - As taste
  • Turmeric Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder :- ½ tsp
  • Cooking Oil :- 3 tbsp

Method

1. At fast take 300 grams cleaned prawns. Marinate it with Turmeric Powder and salt . Keep it aside for 30 Minutes.

2. Turn on the flame place a kadai or nonstick frying pan. Pour 3 tbsp refined oil and drop prawns for frying. Fry it till becomes light golden colour. After frying keep it out in another plate.


3. After that drop one by one diced potatoes and add 1/2 tsp of salt and saute it for 5 Minutes. and keep it in another dish.

4. Then in the same pan or Kadai Add bay leaf , whole cumin seeds, cardamom . Saute it for 1/2 minute.

5. Then Add Dry spices as Red Chili Power, Turmeric Powder, Cumin powder, Coriander powder and salt. Mix it carefully.

6. After mixing Add little quantity of water and Add fried prawns, Chopped Tomatoes and potatoes.

7. Mix all the things and add 1 cup of water for gravy. Let boil the water.

8. At last Add Garam Masala Powder and green chilies for flavor.

9. Prawn curry is ready for serve. Now enjoy this recipe with Pulao or Steamed Rice.

Ingredients

Vegetables :-

  • Potato :- 1/2 (Medium Size) Chopped
  • Onion :- 1 Chopped
  • Capsicum:- 1/2 Chopped
  • Carrot:- 1/2 Chopped
  • Beans:- 2 (Small Size) Chopped
  • Peas :- 12-15 NOS
  • Cauliflower :- 2 Tbsp (Chopped)

Dry Spices :-

  • Sun feast Yippee Masala :- 2 Packets
  • Salt : As taste
  • Turmeric Powder :- 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilies :- 1 (Sliced)
  • Cooking Oil :- 2 tbsp

Method

1. Open 2 packets of Noodles . 

2. Turn on the flame , place a Sauce pan , pour 200 ml water and boil it . Add Yippee Noodles boil it for 2 Minutes. Drain the water and pour cold water over it.

3. Now place the frying pan Add 2 tbsp refined oil . Heat the oil And Add vegetables like Chopped  onion, potato, Carrots, Capsicum Green Beans, peas and cauliflower. Saute it.

4. Now Add Salt , Turmeric Powder, Yippee taste maker (Masala pouch) Red Chili powder and Add little bit of water.

5. Then Add Boiled yippee noodles and fry it gently with fork.You can toss the frying pan

6. Yippee Noodles has done . Serve it with sauce or ketch up .

Ingredients:


  • Jack fruit (Kathal) :- 300 gm  (pressure cooked on 2 whistles with 1/2 tsp salt)
  • Onion: - 2 (Grated)
  • Garlic – Ginger Paste: - 1 tbsp
  • Potato: - 1 Big Size (Boiled)
  • Green Chili: - 3 (Finely Chopped)


Dry Spices:- 


  • Salt: - As taste
  • Turmeric Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Black Peeper powder :- 1/2 tsp
  • Raw Mango Powder (Aamchur Powder) :- ½ tsp 
  • Cumin Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder :- ½ tsp
  • Gram Flour :- 4 tbsp (As required)

Method :-



1. At fast Take Raw jack fruit and potato . Now pressure cooked it with 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 tsp salt on 2 whistles .

2. After that rinse water and keep these aside.

3. Now Mash All the thing ( Boiled Raw jack fruit & Potato) gently. Add all the spices one by one - Turmeric powder , red chili powder, salt, Black pepper powder, Raw Mango powder, Ginger Garlic Powder, grated onion, green chilies . Mix it Properly .

4. After that add gram flour (Besan) as required. Make a proper dough.


5. For Making kebab grease oil on your both hands . Take little part from the dough . Roll it and make a ball then press gently by hands. you can make any shape it.  After making kebab keep it aside or  in freeze for 30 minutes.



6. Now turn on the flame place a non stick frying pan on low flame . Pour 100 ml oil for deep fry. Now drop all the kebabs gently. wait for 2-3 Minutes until cooked . Then Flip it with Spatula and fork.


7. Fry it until becomes brown or light golden. 
Take it out in a dish. Serve it with red sauce.

Ingredients:

  • Katla Fish: - 300 g (Washed, Cleaned) You may use Any other fish instead of Katla Fish
  • Onion: - 2 (Chopped, Medium Size)
  • Garlic – Ginger Paste: - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato: - chopped (Medium Size)
  • Potato: - 1 Big Size (Sliced)
  • Coriander Leaves: - 2 Tbsp (optional)
  • Green Chili: - 3 (Sliced)

Dry Spices

  • Whole Cumin Seeds: - ½ tsp
  • Salt: - As taste
  • Turmeric Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder: - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder :- ½ tsp

Method

 1. Take 300 gm of cleaned katla fish and marinate it with turmeric powder and salt.

2. Now turn on the flame in high mode and place a kadai or nonstick frying pan and heat it. 

3. Pour 3 tbsp Refind oil and heat the oil evenly , after that drop one by one marinated fish in the hot oil. Now wait for 2 to 3 minutes until it cooks properly. Then Flip it gently. take it out in another dish aside .

4. Now in the same kadai Add whole cumin seeds for 1/2 seconds , saute it . After that add chopped onion and fry it for 2-3 minutes. Then add Ginger -garlic paste . Saute it for 3 Minutes. Now add chopped potatoes and fry all the things together. Now Add Dry Spices - Red chili powder, Turmeric Powder, Cumin Powder, Coriander powder and Salt for seasoning . After 2 minutes add 60 ml water for cook it properly. 

5. Then add chopped tomatoes and green chilies and mix it gently and cover it 3 minutes. After 4  minutes uncover the lid and add 1/2 cup of water (as required) . After 1 boil drop all the fried fishes .

6. Now last step is spread some finely chopped coriander leaves and garam masala powder . Mic it carefully.

7. Now serve it with Steamed rice
