Today’s recipe is Delicious Pabda Fish Curry. This recipe is easy to make eat. Please do try at home and share with your kids, friends and family members . This recipe is very special in All over India & Specially Punjab, Haryana, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal. You can try this recipe with Sweet Pulao or Steamed Rice .Please follow this method your Pabda Fish Curry will be made perfect. In this recipe I am gonna show you How to make Pabda Fish Curry .You can try this with Plain rice Also.

Preparations Time :- 30 Minutes

Making Time :- 25 Minutes

  • Pabda Fish / Indian Butter Fish :- 1 k.g (Cleaned) 

Spices : 

  • Turmeric Powder :- 1 tsp 
  • Salt :- According to taste 
  • Red Chili Powder :- 1 tsp 
  • Refind Oil - 80 ml. (For Fish Fry) 1 tbsp 

Masala Paste 

  • Poppy Seeds :- 2 tbsp 
  • Mustard Seeds :- 1 tbsp 
  • Green Chilies :- 4 
  • Water for gravy :- 1 1/2 glass 

Dry Spices :- 

  • Kalonji/ Onion Seeds/ Nangrel (Kalojeere) :- 1/2 tsp

Cooking Method

1. Take Cleaned 1 k.g of Pabda Fish .

2. Marinate it with Red Chili powder, Turmeric Powder, Salt for 15 Minutes. Mix it Properly.

3. Now Take a grinder and Pour Mustered Seeds, Poppy Seeds, Green Chilies and 11/2 tbsp water. Paste it Finely. 

4. Then place a frying pan or kadai. Heat it on high Flame. After that Pour Sufficient Cooking oil or Mustered oil. 
5. Heat the oil and Drop one by one Marinated fish in the oil. wait for 2 Minutes . After 2 minutes flip it and fry it gently. 
6. Now keep all the fried fishes aside. 
7. Now in the same pan or kadai Add little more oil and heat it. Add Kalonji ,Saute it. Then Add Masala paste and fry it. If you want add 2 sliced green chilies as taste. Now Add Salt , Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder . Mix it.

8. Add 1 glass of lukewarm water for gravy. Cover it for 5-8 Minutes. Check it twice. Open the lid After some times and Add fried fishes . Now boil it 3-5 Minutes. 
9. Spread 1 Tbsp Mustered oil over the gravy and Turn off the flame.
10. Serve this fish curry with steamed rice as lunch . Enjoy the meal with special one.
